Slice of Life custom books

Capturing the memory of a pivotal event, or an era of life, usually means:

  • Up to 3 hours of recorded interviews
  • Written narrative and two review cycles
  • Scanning and cropping of up to 10 images
  • Minor restoration of up to 3 images
  • Custom full-color design
  • USB flash drive or CDs of unedited interview recordings

For print projects such as these, going from start to finish requires approximately 15 to 18 hours of work for each interview hour. But that is a very general guideline, as a personal history book can be enhanced with options from the A la Carte menu below, or scaled back. And estimates, which typically start just north of $2000 for Slice of Life books, are customized for each client.

Printing and binding is billed separately, to allow clients to select their ideal book materials and number of copies. Cover options, for instance, range from softcover to foil-stamped linen hardcover.
